General requirements for obtaining a visa to Azerbaijan
In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with an entry visa regime regulated. Depending on the country of arrival, there are different privileges and restrictions for foreign citizens to obtain a visa:
– visa-free entry regime;
– get a visa on arrival;
– to get an electronic visa (e-visa);
– to get a visa at the embassy.
Visa-free entry
There are a number of countries where citizens have the right to enter the territory of Azerbaijan without a visa for up to 90 days. This list includes the following countries:
Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, , Ukraine, Tajikistan
Visa on arrival
In order to facilitate and speed up the issuance of visas, citizens of some countries can obtain visas on arrival at the airports of Azerbaijan. This visa will allow Azerbaijan to stay in the country for up to 30 days. This list includes the following countries:
China, Bahrain, Macau, Indonesia, Israel, Kuwait, Japan, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Turkey, and UAE.
Electronic Visa (E-Visa)
Also, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced the possibility of obtaining an e-visa and you can get it by filling out the form available on the official website. Electronic visa registration lasts from 3 to 5 days. Visa payment is accepted through VISA and MasterCard payment systems.
